For Lan and Jason's session, we timed our shoot for late afternoon, taking advantage of Seville's legendary golden hour. The warm light reflecting off the Plaza de España's ceramic tiles created a dreamlike quality that perfectly captured their honeymoon bliss.

Undoubtedly Seville's most iconic location, this stunning Renaissance Revival plaza offers endless photographic opportunities. The semicircular building, ornate bridges, and ceramic-tiled alcoves create a theatrical backdrop that feels both grand and intimate. We love photographing couples in the early morning or late afternoon when the crowds thin out and the light is softest.

Santa Cruz Neighborhood (Barrio de Santa Cruz)
The former Jewish quarter is a maze of narrow streets, whitewashed buildings, and flower-filled balconies. Alcázar Gardens

For Lan and Jason's session, I shot primarily on Kodak Portra 400, which renders Seville's warm tones beautifully. The film's subtle grain and natural color palette create photographs that feel both contemporary and timeless—images that won't look dated in 20 years.
 

Film also changes the pace of a photo session in the best way. Instead of shooting hundreds of digital images, we focus on meaningful moments, intentional compositions, and genuine connection. This slower, more thoughtful approach results in photographs that feel more authentic and less posed.
